National Park Pet Policies

National Park Pet Policies

As a general rule, pets are permitted but must be restrained either on a leash not exceeding six feet in length, caged or crated at all times. Park Superintendents and Managers have the discretion to further restrict areas open to pets (i.e., trails, buildings,
campgrounds may be off limits).

For specific information on each National Park, see our list of national park pet policies. You can either view National Parks by Name or National Parks by State.
